'finished' chessboard

DaVinci once said "art is never finished, only abandoned"

my mini-chessboard has been a work on and off for the last 2yrs.
it has seen 3 continents in that time, and has had a few games played on it..
essentially a small timber box made of a sandwich of timber veneer and shim steel to allow the pieces to be magnetic.
originally with an old glasses case hinge, it now has something a bit more professional from tassie, and folds into a 70mm x140mm x15mm box.
the pieces are handcarved with a lot of patience, white pieces are qld rock maple, and the black are jarrah.
